Bakti Desa

on January, my friends and I went to Cibeureum village to held one of the school activity that called "Bakti Desa" for about 3 days. During the activity, we stayed in villager's house and we had to help them to work.

We went there by public transportation called "Angkot."  Senior Highschool to Cibeureum is 50 kilometers away. We need 3 hours to get there. On our way to Cibeureum, we did many activity such us sang a song, ate our food, stopped at Indomaret to buy a food, and of course slept.

When we arrived, we went to Balai Desa to held an opening ceremony. After that, we separated into some groups and go to our foster parent's home. I lived together with Dara, Mine, and Cipo. We stayed at Mrs. Omah's home. Our foster parents is a farmers.

Every morning we went to the village to help our foster parents taking care of their village. It was really hot there. We had to wear a hat to protect our face from the heat of the sun. But it was so fun because we learned many things there such as how to pull out weeds, how to water the plant, and others.

Every evening, we went to mosque and met Cibeureum's children. We played and taught them many things. This was the part I love the most from Bakdes. Cause basically I really like children, babies, or toddlers.

On a second day, we held a clothes and books bazzar for free. The peoples there were so enthusiastic. I can see a happy face from them and it really touched me.

Last day we went to Situ Cisanti. Situ Cisanti is a start point of Citarum River. We went there by foot. We can see a beautiful scenery from there. After that, we went back home and said goodbye to our foster parents because we had to go back to Bandung City.

It was a great experience. we would love to comeback there.
